No one really reads my blog, but that’s okay, it’s mostly here for me to post photos and not let Facebook get the right to use them. I didn’t really post this past year so here’s what happened. I woke up and lost 100 pounds, you can read about it on the Facebook. I started working full time at a television show called Roadtrip Nation, it’s on PBS, it’s awesome and inspiring. Basically, I looked at my life and decided I wanted to do something with it and started working hard at everything. I haven’t figured out what I want to do with my life yet but I feel like I have direction now, it’s awesome. I have a lot of work to do to get everything together but I think when I find order I’ll have time for my mind to rest and start thinking about what the heck I’m going to do.
So I’m a little late on this one, but here it is, spring 2016. I got to do a lot of traveling this spring for work, unfortunately that meant I was filming and not photographing but I snagged a few. I also attended my brother Troy’s graduation in Lubbock. He got his masters degree and I’m super proud of him for working hard all these years.
Lately I have been rediscovering my love of photography. Taking photo’s and video of things I want to while practicing new techniques has been fun and educational. It’s also been great because I’ve been forcing myself to get out and explore more. A lot of it has been me learning more about flying my drone and learning what works and what doesn’t. Hope you guys enjoy what I’ve been doing because I sure have.
I’ve always wanted to try this out. Driving a long ways by yourself gives you time to do a lot of things that you normally wouldn’t do. That’s mostly think or listen to stuff your normally wouldn’t do on a normal drive. I drove from Orange County, CA to Bend, OR while visiting some friends along the way that I hadn’t seen in a while. In retrospect I don’t know that I would go that far solo again (for fun at least) but you never know. I do think that the first 8-10 hours of driving is totally doable solo again.
