Yosemite

Yosemite

I got to go camping in Lower Pines in Yosemite this October. I hadn’t been there since I was a kid and man, it was amazing. When you’re so small you can’t really appreciate the scale of these cliffs but when I was there this time it kind of blew me away.

Catching Back Up

SUP in the back bay

No one really reads my blog, but that’s okay, it’s mostly here for me to post photos and not let Facebook get the right to use them. I didn’t really post this past year so here’s what happened. I woke up and lost 100 pounds, you can read about it on the Facebook. I started working full time at a television show called Roadtrip Nation, it’s on PBS, it’s awesome and inspiring. Basically, I looked at my life and decided I wanted to do something with it and started working hard at everything. I haven’t figured out what I want to do with my life yet but I feel like I have direction now, it’s awesome. I have a lot of work to do to get everything together but I think when I find order I’ll have time for my mind to rest and start thinking about what the heck I’m going to do.

Spring 2016

Lines of Orange County

So I’m a little late on this one, but here it is, spring 2016. I got to do a lot of traveling this spring for work, unfortunately that meant I was filming and not photographing but I snagged a few. I also attended my brother Troy’s graduation in Lubbock. He got his masters degree and I’m super proud of him for working hard all these years.

Winter ’15/16

It’s officially spring as of a few days ago but winter was awesome. I did so much and got to meet so many sweet people. Shot a friends wedding, throwing down at new years, flew the drone, snowboarding, and got a dog. I think most importantly though I decided to focus on practicing my photography and really make myself get out and shoot instead of just shooting when I was working. I had a good time doing it too. Work picked up or I got lazy again, I’m not sure but I slowed down on shooting personal projects but I guess that’s what’s awesome about posting. It reminds me that what I really love doing and I think I’ll get back out there this week and do some more shooting.

Fall – 2015

DJI_0375

Lately I have been rediscovering my love of photography. Taking photo’s and video of things I want to while practicing new techniques has been fun and educational. It’s also been great because I’ve been forcing myself to get out and explore more. A lot of it has been me learning more about flying my drone and learning what works and what doesn’t. Hope you guys enjoy what I’ve been doing because I sure have.

Solo Road Trip

Mt. Shasta 1

I’ve always wanted to try this out. Driving a long ways by yourself gives you time to do a lot of things that you normally wouldn’t do. That’s mostly think or listen to stuff your normally wouldn’t do on a normal drive. I drove from Orange County, CA to Bend, OR while visiting some friends along the way that I hadn’t seen in a while. In retrospect I don’t know that I would go that far solo again (for fun at least) but you never know. I do think that the first 8-10 hours of driving is totally doable solo again.

New England – Eastern Canada Cruise

IMG_4252

I had the chance to take my first cruise and it was amazing. At first I didn’t think I liked the hoping between cities everyday but then I realized how much I could see in a short amount of time. Even though it’s still not enough time it made me want to see more and more everyday. Life is about experience and I loved that this is now one of mine. I can’t wait for the next one.
